Much like the saying, “when it rains, it pours”, life can be extremely difficult and you may be going through several traumatic experiences at once. With a strong passion for helping others, I’m here to offer support through these obstacles as well as help individuals heal from traumatic experiences. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, with a person-centered approach to my therapy sessions, I am here to support each client’s unique needs, help reach each client’s personal therapeutic goals and adapt my therapy style to better help with their goals. I like to create a non-judgmental environment for individuals to have the comfort and ability to open up at their own pace allowing for individuals to be their authentic self. Personal growth can be uncomfortable at times, but I’m here to help and support during that journey.
I graduated from the Master’s in Clinical Psychology Program at Roosevelt University. I have experience working independently in childcare services for a decade, alongside experience in two hospital settings. In these hospitals, I worked in behavioral health and substance abuse units. The populations were extremely diverse in race, ethnicity, age, and socioeconomic background and I provided both group as well as individual therapy sessions. During group sessions, I primarily engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which I tailored according to the group’s needs.
I am passionate about mental health and enjoy helping individuals with various presenting concerns including, but not limited to: anxiety, sexual abuse, eating disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, depression, PTSD, mood disorders and schizophrenia.
